A group of eminent persons imbued with a spirit of service to the society sat together on the auspicious day of Janam Ashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna in 1912 with a view to forming an organization committed to the service of humanity. These persons were highly motivated and dedicated. Their only mission was to serve the helpless, guide the needy, and ameliorate the sufferings of the people selflessly, irrespective of caste, color, and creed. A sound foundation was provided to this organization which was christened as the Sanatan Dharam Kumar Sabha, Patiala 147001, Punjab, India. Soon the organization started making rapid strides in the field of social work and people started acknowledging the services being rendered with gratitude.
